Course Overview

The Diver Stress and Rescue Course focuses on various diver rescue procedures, preparing you for real-life situations. This 2.5-day course includes both theoretical knowledge and practical training in water sessions. You will learn how to respond to a tired diver, an unresponsive diver, a responsive diver, an unconscious diver, and even a panicked diver. The course also covers rescue techniques for handling distressed divers and responding to diving accidents.

Key Components

Knowledge Development

  • Engage in independent student study with online access to e-learning materials.
  • Participate in classroom sessions where you’ll gain insights into common diving emergencies and how to manage them.

Practical Skills Training

  • Take part in pool training and water training exercises to practice your rescue skills in a controlled environment with our highly skilled dive professionals.
  • Experience simulated emergency scenarios that prepare you for real-world situations, including dealing with a non-breathing/unconscious diver on the surface and underwater or a diver in distress while conducting boat trips.

Rescue Exercises

  • Conduct various rescue training exercises that simulate different dive-related rescue scenarios.
  • Practice caring for an unresponsive diver and learn how to maintain a cool head in stressful situations.

Emergency Situations Handling

  • Learn about secondary care, including the use of a rescue breathing mask and aid treatment for pressure-related injuries.

React Right (First Aid) Course

As part of your Rescue Diver training, we highly recommend completing the React Right First Aid Course. This essential training provides the foundational skills necessary for handling medical emergencies both in and out of the water. The course covers:

  • Primary assessment and emergency response techniques.
  • CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and first aid basics.
  • Oxygen administration for diving-related injuries.
  • Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use for emergency and rescue situations.

By completing the React Right course, you enhance your ability to manage emergency scenarios, making you a more confident and prepared rescue diver.
